FalammichiTM System
Native Choctaw: to Defend, to Restore

Native Kenpo is the generic name of this system in English. The true name of this body of work is Falammichi in native Choctaw language. The founder of this system was created by Adrian Roman, a 68 year old Choctaw Indian. Roman is a 9th degree in the late Grandmaster Edmond K. Parker American Kenpo System.
He began blending Parkers principals with information and movements (ilhkoli) learned as a young boy in the 40’s and 50’s from his Native elders in Oklahoma and began to teach it.This system is in keeping with Parkers principals yet adding Roman philosophy of shorter techniques with the underlying theme of total control. Falammichi has more locks, takedowns, and MMA ground techniques.
For me personally, Ed Parker's American Kenpo has been a wonderful vehicle to get me where I am today. It teaches the destructive force that we can have on a human body, but Kenpo’s most important lesson is not to take that destructive path. We should above physical violence and set the bar high for the ones that follow us. We should have impeccable character and integrity and wish the best for all people. However there is more to life than the study of Kenpo. Today, Parker's American Kenpo is a dying art. It's demise began the day Ed Parker passed away in 1990. We must move on to something new, never forgetting our roots.
My philosophies the Movement of Life, Seven Sacred Feathers and my NAKC are the cornerstone for Falammichi. This system's was introduced in 2000 and has evolved into something of which I am very proud. We have small, but growing, numbers. Through the involvement of family members, students and close friends, that will change. Last, is my Falammichi Philosophy and its rewarding effect and influence it has on all.
As some of you know, I am Choctaw Indian from Oklahoma. Falammichi is a Native Choctaw word, is not easily translated into English, and has many meanings.
Falammichi: to sing, to answer, to bring back, to give back, to defend, to replace, to return to each other, a restorer, to reinstate, to acquire much knowledge, to teach and return, a man of integrity, achukma hatak (good man) a great man. Hatak Falammichi is a man who had these qualities about him.
I am now 68 years and my 1st priority each day is to be a better person today than I was yesterday. If I succeed, I know the Great Spirit will smile graciously upon me and give me the tools to help others. My goal is to become Hatak Falammichi. My journey is different now that I'm in the autumn of my life. My heart is Chukma (good).

Martial Arts Talk Forums and others:
I have visited these forums sites and 99.9% of these people who participate have absolutely no knowledge of the marital arts world. They participate in this forum and criticize the great master and others who have the knowledge and answers to the questions they are searching for.
They are followers or sparrows as I refer to them. We, the masters are the Eagles. They form a large group and make a lot of useless noise and confusion for others who are searching for real answers. I have been a topic for these cowards who hide behind a keyboard and poke fun. If they had any backbone at all, they would pick up the phone and call. I’ll answer and give them the answers they are searching for. I would imagine that most of them are in there 20’s or 30’s and don’t know any better. I’m 67; doing martial arts before they were born and I have most of the answers.
The number one topic about me is this. I sell black belts. Wrong, I produce and sell martial arts distant learning home study program. This information does not include my 11x17 authentic black belt certification. However occasionally I will issue an 8.5x11 Honorary certificate that is valid for one year only. This gives the dedicated student time to learn the material and test to receive the real 1st degree black belt certification. Honorary certificates are not worth the paper they are printed on if one does not follow thru and test on the material. If any instructor or master is intimidated by someone possessing one of these certificates, he is not the master he thinks he is.
The number two topic is you need a personal instructor and cannot learn from DVD’s. Wrong, these idiots are assuming that there personal instructors in the school of their choice are qualified. These so call experts who open a school could be many, many, generation away from the source of the material they are teaching. I am 1st generation under Grandmaster Ed Parker and the source of my own systems. You can’t get any closer than that. For you people, who do not believe in this simple concept, try this. Put ten people in a line and teach the first one in the line a technique. Let him teach the next in line and so on down the line. Go to the 10th in line and see what you get. It will not even resemble what the 1st one was taught. My advise to you is find the oldest instructor with the highest rank you can find in the system of your choice, then qualify him by how close he is to his instructor. Still no guarantees, but a lease you will look somewhat intelligent by doing so. I know, there are always exceptions to the rule, however if you find one, let me know and I will study under him.
